About Me...

Hi, I am Julia

I began my health journey about 20 years ago. I remember the day I decided to take care of my health.   My husband was having a flare up of his Multiple Sclerosis, and my mother in law had just had surgery. I looked in the living room, and they were sharing a walker. In the background, I could hear the kids arguing while getting ready for school. I was overwhelmed, overweight, suffering from knee pain, and a smoker.  If I was going to take care of my family, I needed to take care of myself.

The journey was not easy. I had to figure out how to work exercise into my schedule. Learn ways to eat better.   It did not happen overnight, and there were many times I had to start all over again. The key was to make small changes until they became a habit.

I have worked in healthcare as an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years.   I know how having one body system out of sync affects all of the other methods. I understand how hard it is to make changes when you feel bad.

My patients struggled with multiple health issues.   They would share with me how hard it was to lose weight even though they had tried everything. They had trouble sleeping, eating healthy and getting motivated to make changes. Exercise was difficult due to pain or energy level. They did not know where to start.

I am a certified Health and Wellness coach through Catalyst Coaching Institute and The National Society of Health Coaches.

I want to help women over 50 have lasting health so they can enjoy life.
